Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

These policies explain how SafeNotarize handles information, provides online notarization services and document resources, and sets expectations for customers and signers.

Privacy Policy

SafeNotarize, operated by Geritla Plus LLC, processes information needed to provide online notarization, scheduling, document intake, customer support, payment, and related website services.

By using the website or submitting information, you acknowledge the practices described on this page. Do not submit information for another person unless you are authorized to do so.

Information We Process

Depending on how you use SafeNotarize, information may include:

  • Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, appointment details, and signer information.
  • Documents and files you choose to upload, including information contained inside those files.
  • Identification and identity-verification information required for an online notarization.
  • Payment, transaction, technical, browser, device, referral, and website-usage information.
  • Messages, support requests, and other information you voluntarily provide.

SafeNotarize uses this information to process requests, create and support sessions, communicate with participants, prevent misuse, meet legal or recordkeeping obligations, improve the website, and enforce these terms.

Service Providers and Information Sharing

SafeNotarize may use third-party providers for scheduling, forms, file handling, payments, communications, analytics, automation, identity verification, and online notarization technology. Information may be sent to those providers when necessary to complete the service.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or misuse, or in connection with a business transfer. SafeNotarize does not promise that information will never be shared; sharing is limited to legitimate service, operational, and legal purposes.

Security, Recordkeeping, and Retention

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, but no website, email, file transfer, or online storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers should use secure devices and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain required notarial records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

Terms of Service

By using SafeNotarize, you agree to provide accurate information, use the service lawfully, and follow identity-verification and session instructions. You may not submit fraudulent, altered, illegal, misleading, or unauthorized documents or information.

Online notarization availability depends on document eligibility, signer location, identity verification, technology, applicable law, and the requirements of the organization receiving the document.

Document Templates, Generators, and Official Forms

SafeNotarize may offer fillable templates, document generators, educational pages, and links to official forms. These resources are provided for convenience and general information only.

  • SafeNotarize does not provide legal advice or choose the correct document for you.
  • A generated document is not guaranteed to meet the requirements of a court, agency, recipient, state, country, or specific transaction.
  • Official government forms remain subject to the issuing agency’s instructions and current version requirements.
  • You are responsible for reviewing the completed PDF and confirming that names, dates, facts, signature areas, and recipient requirements are correct before continuing.

Online Notarization Session Requirements

Each signer must generally have their own email address, an accepted and unexpired photo ID, a supported device with camera and microphone, reliable internet access, and the final document in an acceptable format.

Do not sign a document in advance when the notarial act or document instructions require signing in the notary’s presence. Additional signers, stamps, international participation, or witnesses may affect eligibility and price.

Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

Prices shown during the SafeNotarize flow may vary based on session type, number of signers, stamps, witnesses, international participation, and other requested services. Customers are responsible for reviewing the amount before payment.

Fees for work already performed, identity-verification attempts, completed sessions, used notarial acts, or customer-caused delays may be nonrefundable. Any refund or rescheduling decision may depend on the circumstances, service status, and applicable law.

Important Limitations

SafeNotarize and its notaries do not act as your attorney, do not represent you in a legal matter, and do not guarantee that a recipient will accept a document. Notarization verifies or certifies matters allowed by law; it does not prove that a document is legally effective, accurate, enforceable, or suitable for your purpose.

To the extent allowed by law, SafeNotarize is not responsible for rejection caused by an incorrect document, missing language, recipient-specific requirements, inaccurate customer information, unsupported identification, connectivity problems, unavailable signers or witnesses, or circumstances outside reasonable control.
